The Total Service Call

Perform the following maintenance tasks each time you make a service call

 

Steps:

  1. Remove all covers including the tabletop and check for leaks.  Clean as needed to restore the machine to original state.
  2. Resolve primary issue (reason you are there) and check with lab personnel for any additional items.
  3. Inspect and clean drip pan, identify and correct any leaks.
  4. Check the 15/45 station from behind for leaks.
  5. Visually check around and in the machine.  Make sure all lines are finger tight as you go around the machine.  Look for leaks.
  6. Open all four ink drawers and inspect for leaks.  Also look for ink bottles that appear to be “sucked in” due to a clogged vent.  Clean any clogs with a paperclip if necessary.
  7. Check drill bit and verify that the shield extends fully.
  8. Verify ALL ink lines are primed.
  9. Test the vacuum wand, flush with water if necessary.
  10. Check the interconnect board to verify there are no bent, missing or sticky pins.
  11. Check for connectivity to make sure the InkCenter is Internet connected.
  12. Perform prep station fluid flow check, clean holes in prep station thoroughly with a large paperclip.
  13. Vacuum Chamber
    1. Check the fill chamber door for cracks and that the door seal is in position with the screws set normally.
    2. Perform vacuum chamber leak check (vacuum reaches 25.5 in/hg and holds maximum vacuum with no leaks.
  14. In the Tech Pane check the following
    1. Separator vacuum level (should be approx. 15.5 in/hg)
    2. Decay rate (approx.. 0.1 - 0.2 in/hg/sec)
  15. Run Syringe Leak Test and resolve any leaks.
  16. Drain the waste.
  17. Verify all system fans are running.
  18. Check injector clogs by removing and flushing with water.
  19. Blow or wipe off dust and wipe down machine.
  20. Run several cartridges through ALL processes to check functionality before leaving site.
