Syringe Leak Test

Objective: To explain how to properly run and evaluate a Syringe Leak Test.
Step 1: log in as Technician
Enter code:
741963 and press “login”
Step 2: Access Kloehn Assembly
Open Chamber door and remover tester cover, then table top.
Step 3: Identify Components to inspect during test
- Valve Port C and dispense tubing/hose
- Injector tip and tubing
- Syringe
- Syringe Plunger
- Valve Weep Port
Step 4: Access Tech Pane and execute Syringe Leak test
- Select the “Tech Pane” tab in upper right
- Select “Tests” icon in lower right
- Select “Syringe Leak Test”
- Close Chamber Door
- Select “Start Leak test” Icon
Step 5: Step 1 Chamber leak test and dispense test
- Listen for vacuum pump to turn on
- Watch for proper suction of chamber door
- Inspect the dispense lines and injector tips for proper air and fluid flow.
- If test passes, press “ Continue Leak test
Step 6: Step 2 Syringe Leak inspection
- Inspect syringes for leaks during test
- Inspect valves for ink out of weep holes
Step 7: Finish test
- Select “NO” when prompted, “Would you like to run syringes up and down again” if a repeat is not required.
- NOTE If machine locks up due to multiple syringe test, please perform Software Reset from Maintenance Tab
NOTE: If machine locks up during multiple syringe test, perform a software reset from the maintenance tab.
